Creating Images of Items on Screen
Example: Create an image of your schedule to insert in your page
Minimize your schedule so that it fits on your screen (View-Zoom Out)
Click and hold on the following keys to create crosshairs (looks like plus mark with numbers)
Command - Control - Shift - 4
Select the area for the image using the crosshairs and release
This image will reside on the Clipboard - The Clipboard is what holds anything that you copy so that you can paste it elsewhere - holds only 1 copy at a time

Preview

Open the Application Preview (It may be in your Applications Folder)
File/New From Clipboard - Your image will paste to create a picture file
File/Save - Give it a name and save
If Preview is not on your Dock, drag it there for easy access

Inserting Saved Image

To insert your image, choose the Picture or Paragraph with Picture option
Follow the prompt to insert your image
Stretch the bottom right corner at the red square several times until it becomes the desired size (stretch and let go, reselect and stretch)
